    Edinburgh retired lady loves holidays
This was a beautiful hotel right in the centre of Dubai. Used a lot for conferences and business people it was the ideal place. Our main reason for going to Dubai was to see the Race to Dubai which had been a dream of ours. Unfortunately the taxi charges varied a huge amount and this would be the only reason I would suggest if you were going on a golfing holiday you got one of the Rotana a bit nearer the courses. The service, food and accommodation at the Media were superb.

    Greenwich Dubai first timer
This is a pretty decent hotel for a group of golfers to stay at. It's lively in the evenings with Nelsons Bar and the 1st floor Terrace Bar providing plenty of entertainment options. There are a couple of other decent places nearby which are a very short taxi journey away.
The rooms are comfortable (beds are good) and clean/modern. The food here is also good. Breakfast is excellent and the Italian, Pregos is definitely worth a visit with a really good menu. Staff are very polite and helpful and the hotel is quite close to the golf courses we played (Els, Montgomery and Earth).
Downsides are the pool area which only gets the sun for about 5 hours maximum due to surrounding buildings, lack of any outside space in bedrooms, generally urban/built up surrounding area which can be noisy. Lack of WI FI in rooms ( you pay for that which I find annoying).
So, perfectly adequate for a group of golfers, but if you're traveling with a partner/family there are more suitable alternatives.
