Everything about the hotel is good. The only negative was the condition of the golf course which wasn't up to the standard I had expected.

The old course was lovely, the Mathern is well set up, but the greens were mixed, and need some attention. The hotel rooms were basic, but comfortable, and the dinner was excellent.

Overall a great place to stay and play golf, food ,location ,service and accommodation all fine.
The following are improvement suggestions :
Greens on the Mather course need attention - some are fine , some are not.
All my group felt the mattresses extremely uncomfortable- please encourage the Marriott group to renew these.
Finally speed of play on the Old Course not great - especially between the 9th green and 10th tee due to the halfway hut.
Marshalling is needed here to educate people to give way if they want to stop and take a break. A bit of marshalling generally on the back 9 would help.
Overall though a terrific experience , thank you.
