Designed by the minds behind The Belfry, Peter Aliss and Dave Thomas, Thorpe Wood Golf Course measures in at an intimidating 7,086-yards off the back tees, making it one of the lengthier in the country. It’s generally maintained to a very high standard and rarely if ever closes throughout the year. With a well-stocked golf shop and the adjoining Woodman Bar & Restaurant, this is a great pay-and-play location that would compliment any golf break in the area.

Orton Meadows

18 holes, 67 par, 5613 yards. Parkland with lakes.

Sister golf course to Thorpe Wood, this pleasant layout was designed by Dennis and Roger Fitton initially as 12 holes in 1982. In 1987 the golf course was extended to the full 18 and now measures 5,613 yards with Par 67. Water features prominently throughout this picturesque golf course with the pick of the holes being the long dogleg Par 5 third and the short but tricky 15th where you need to carry the pond.
