Nairn Golf Club

This traditional Scottish golf links course was created from a wilderness of whins and heather and tests the talents of professional and amateur alike. Founded in 1887 and added to and extended by Archie Simpson, Old Tom Morris and James Braid, it is now one of the best courses in Scotland. It is regularly chosen for national championships, including the Scottish Amateur, Scottish Professional and in 1994 hosted the "Blue Riband" of the Amateur Calender, the "Amateur" Championship. Nairn has also successfully hosted the 37th Walker Cup in September 1999. The magnificent new clubhouse that was built in 1990 is the envy of many and adds to the pleasure of playing at Nairn.

Nairn Dunbar Golf Course

Situated on the shores of the Moray Firth, the Nairn Dunbar golf course, founded in 1899, is a highly rated Scottish links championship course representing a formidable challenge with its gorse lined fairways. In 1999 for the Northern Open Professional Championship, the Scottish Ladies Amateur Stroke Play and the Scottish Boys Stroke Play. In 2001 the club hosted the Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship (qualifying rounds) and in 2002 the Seniors Home Internationals and the Scottish Open Amateur Mixed Tournaments.

Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

There are sea and mountain views from every tee, fairway and green, other visual delights are the resident school of bottle-nose dolphins who often play within a five irons length of the first eight fairways!

In 1923 James Braid, five times Open Champion and a prolific designer of golf courses, visited the course and redesigned the 18 holes into a par 72, 6,217 yard layout which has stood the passing of time and remains a fair and challenging test of true links golf. Brora presents all the attributes of the Scottish seaside links, ensuring that you use every club in the bag.

Tain Golf Course

Overlooking the Dornoch Firth, Tain arguably offers one of the best settings imaginable in the Highlands for a round of golf.
