Ingon Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Club hotel information

The Manor dates back to the 14th century and lies within 171 acres of rolling Warwickshire countryside. Ingon Manor prides itself on excellent service and good old-fashioned hospitality. The well appointed bedrooms include both bridal and family suites and the Fairways Restaurant provides traditional cooking, spectacular views and a friendly atmosphere. Additionally, the original barns and outhouses have been carefully renovated to form a top conference centre and with the birthplace of the Bard, William Shakespeare, and Warwick Castle very nearby, there are plenty of other things to do whilst staying at Ingon Manor on top of playing the superb golf.

There is not much to offer other than golf in terms of facilities. There is a bar with a large tv but only BT sports available. If trying to attract groups for weekends a full sports tv package would be expected, especially for weekends. Other than the bar, there is only a couple of snooker tables and whist they are in o.k. condition, the equipment (Cues/Rests) etc are in very poor condition and could easily be replaced at a very low cost.

Nice, large bedroom and staff couldn't do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one with good service and sometimes going beyond our expectations. Food was excellent, although on the first night there wasn't any vegetarian option on the printed GolfBreak menu. Once this was brought to their attention, the staff and chef, in particular, were very accommodating in ensuring there was at least one from then onwards.

I have given a 6 for accommodation as, having been the Organiser for a party of 9 ladies, I and my room sharer were given the worst room out of all. It was really cramped and ordinary, whereas one of the rooms two of my ladies were in was enormous with a wow factor. Another was full of charm with oak beams. I asked for a new room, but all rooms were booked out as the hotel was full. I had been shown rooms on an earlier visit but had no idea there were such different standards. This is a lovely hotel and well worth a visit, but ensure you request your standard of room because that spoilt the trip for me and my room sharer.
