Marriott Hollins Hall Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 71 Parkland course consisting of very large undulating greens in fantastic condition. The fairways meander up on the hills and down in the dales.
Playing golf at Hollins Hall means you are provided with a challenging test for all levels of golfer. Having hosted 4 PGA EuroPro tour events in the last 6 years, there is sure to be a test for every facet of your game.
Hollins Hall (Marriott Hollins Hall Hotel and Country Club)
Hollins Hall is a brilliant golf course, built to USGA standards. The fantastic drainage system and quality surfaces make it a perfect all year round golfing venue.
This golf course isn’t the longest golf course, so distance should not be a problem for most players. The biggest challenge for many will probably be the huge greens. They are rather undulated and will most certainly put your putting limits to the test. As well as this, they are surrounded by strategically placed bunkers meaning that accurate iron play is essential.
The signature hole is definitely the 14th. It is an extremely tricky par which requires you to avoid a fairway littered with hazards from an elevated tee. You will need to successfully negotiate the fairway bunkers and water hazards which will then leave you with an uphill 2nd to a two – tiered green, framed by the 19th century viaduct that gives the hole its name, all in all, this course makes for an interesting game.
