The Deerpark golf course was the original course at Fota Island Resort. A par 71, Deerpark has hosted the Irish Open in 2001 and 2002. This golf course is a great challenge for even the most experienced of golfer. It consists of many tricky hazards from very receptive greens and strategic bunkering.

Belvelly Course, Fota Island Golf Club

The Belvelly Golf Course at Fota Island is a par 72 and measures over 7,121 yards from the Championship tees. This is an impressive golf course that incorporates some unique and testing features. There is also a new nine-hole layout that was developed by Jeff Howes. The 16th in particular is a memorable hole being 435 yards in length and a par 4. An accurately placed tee shot is essential in order to hit the fairway along with a daunting approach over an old quarry to hit the very tight green.

Fota Island Golf Club - Deerpark 7th

Barryscourt Course, Fota Island Golf Club

Another golf course to incorporate a new nine hole layout is the Barryscourt. This is a par 73, 7,362 yard course, featuring testing undulating greens which make accurate putting a must in order to score well. A wide range of hazards face you throughout this round.

Old Head Golf Links - 4th Hole

Old Head Golf Links is built on a 220-acre diamond of land, jutting out over two miles into the Atlantic; the promontory is almost an island with numerous caves running beneath your feet as you play the golf course. Comprising of five par 5's, five par 3's and eight par 4's, the links provides a stern test to the touring pro and high handicapper alike. All eighteen holes provide stunning ocean views. This is truly an unforgettable golf course.

Cork Golf Club

Cork golf club has fantastic sweeping greens and beautifully maintained fairways so it is not hard to believe that this golf course was the work of the same person responsible for the classic Augusta National Golf Course in America. Alister Mackenzie pulled out all the stops to create a flowing golf course like no other in the region. Cork golf course is not the longest of tracks but the water that comes into play plus the narrow fairways makes this a tough golf course to master, but also one that players of all levels will come to enjoy.

Water Rock Golf Course

Water Rock is a Championship golf course with magnificent sand based greens situated in a beautiful parkland setting. Boasting spectacular water features, Water Rock prides itself on being maintained to a very high standard. Indeed the renowned 240 yard, 12th hole which plays over "Swan Lake" to a bunkerless green ensures the return of visitors time and time again.

Lee Valley Golf & Country Club

Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr. Lee Valley is one of the top three golf clubs in Cork. This outstanding Championship Golf Course offers all golf enthusiasts a very relaxed yet challenging game of golf, with seven of the eighteen holes having water as a major hazard. Lee Valley hosted the Irish Assistants' Championship in July 1996 and the golfcourse also has the unique feature of two historic "fairy forts".
