South Course, Guadalmina Club de Golf Details

Golf at Hotel Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort

Both courses at Guadalmina Golf Resort are renonwed on the Costa del Sol as two of the finest in the Marbella area. The South course was designed by Javier Arana in 1959 and is the sterner test of the two, with tight tree-lined fairways and greens. The North couse, built in 1973 by Folco Nardi, features many water hazards through a more undaluated layout.

South Course, Guadalmina Club de Golf

    18 holes, 72 par, 6683 yards. Links / Woodland.

This is the second oldest course on the coast and is a real test of accuracy. Many of the tees require precise placement on the fairway due to the private gardens surrounding the course. The 14th can challenge even the lowest handicappers as tall pines line the hole, with a strategically placed bunker in front of the green, waiting to swallow up anything short.

South Course, Guadalmina Club de Golf Location

San Pedro de Alcantara (10kms from Puerto Banus and Marbella).

Excellent course which is well maintained. Tight fairways and cracking greens.

Other than holes #10/11 (along the beach!) this course is not very interesting. Mostly straight lines. Easy to walk although longer than the North Course
Finding the entrance to Tee 1 and then again the clubbouse after 18 can be tricky. Relatively well signed for T1, but not at all for the return through the residential area.
The facilities don't make cleaning your clubs an easy task.

Great course, tough in places with accuracy off the tee a must. Very picturesque and when we played it in October 2016 in excellent overall condition.
