Great Yarmouth & Caister is the oldest golf club in Norfolk, founded and created in 1882 on the North Denes. It has some beautiful features and is regarded as one of the only true links golf courses in the area due to its seaside grasses like gorse.
Great Yarmouth & Caister Golf Course
18 holes, 70 par, 6147 yards. Links.This golf course really does offer a true test of links golf. With views across the North Denes and North Sea, Great Yarmouth & Caister really is a great setting to play golf in. One of the unique features of this golf course is the style of the bunkers, with old wooden paneling lining the inside. It is touches like this that really add to the links golfing experience on the East Coast of England. This golf course can be very tough; it requires accurate tee shots and consideration for the sea breeze sweeping down the coast.

Bawburgh Golf Course

Measuring 6,209-yards, the Bawburgh Golf Club is a great location for groups to play, with its challenging 18-holes that are forgiving enough for higher handicapped players but can still prove troublesome for the more established. With trees, lakes and a great finishing hole regarded as the best in the country by some, Bawburgh golf club is a must play course if you are in the region, and also offers a great bar and restaurant area in the clubhouse to relax in after your round.
Diss Golf Course
18 holes, 70 par, 6206 yards. Heathland.
Diss Golf Club is renowned for being a great condition golf course all year round. Although a parkland golf course, Diss offers something very different with elements of links, heath and fenland style features. With its small, quick greens, distance judgment and shot selection is essential to scoring well on this golf course. One of the most memorable holes at Diss Golf Club is the 13th hole, a 468 yard par 4. It incorporates many scenic features and the need to hit two great shots to reach the green in regulation.
Eaton Golf Course
18 holes, 70 par, 6118 yards. Parkland.
The tranquil, scenic environment with plenty of natural wildlife at Eaton Golf Club is very refreshing considering Norwich City Centre is just 10 minutes drive away. It is a golf course that is used to hosting many regional and county championship events, showing its quality and reputation as a fine club in Norfolk. This is not a long golf course by today’s standards, but the tight fairways, well placed hazards and tricky approach shots mean you have to think about position before taking each shot.
Richmond Park Golf Course
18 holes, 71 par, 6258 yards. Parkland.
Although Richmond Park isn’t the longest of golf courses by today’s standards, don’t think it will be an easy challenge to overcome. Water features come into play on many of the holes, as well as numerous tree and bunker hazards. It is a fantastic golf course to play and is set in the peaceful Norfolk countryside, a perfect location to relax and enjoy a round of golf. Richmond Park is relatively new, built in 1990, but it is already recognized for its great condition throughout the year.
Royal Cromer Golf Course
18 holes, 72 par, 6290 yards. Clifftop.
This is a cliff top golf course, towering above sea level by a huge 320 feet. This offers a completely unique experience to playing golf, with some tremendous holes along the way. The signature hole is the 14th, looking out over an operational lighthouse from a great height. But don’t be fooled by this holes beauty, as it is one of the most challenging holes on the golf course. Playing golf on a cliff edge, with fantastic views, testing holes and windy conditions, this is a must play on the Norwich City Golf Tour.
