20 minutes away is the lovely Golf du Médoc Hôtel & Spa 4* with its two courses onsite. Your other choices are the 3* Hôtel du Golf de Lacanau (45 mins) and the Relais de Margaux 4* Luxe (35 mins).
With its wide rolling fairways, large protective bunkers and carved through the closely knit Landes pine forest, this is a great starter to your holiday. Reasonably easy walking.
There is another 9 hole course onsite, a golf academy with a 3 hole training course and a lake range! Add to that a superb wine list in the clubhouse restaurant.
If you are flying into Bordeaux, this could be the perfect introduction to golf in France. Or alternatively, make for a brilliant final day round.
