Quite simply this is golf beak heaven. We recommend playing La Mer and Le Bocage but the choice really is yours!

This wonderful golf club was founded in 1985 by Guy Dupont. 36 holes are onsite, 4 loops of 9, of which the main 9 hole course, La Mer, is a delight with its signature 6th overlooking the channel.
More information on golf coursesThe Omaha Beach Golf Club was founded in 1985 by Guy Dupont and was designed by the famous golf architect, Yves Bureau. The club offers three 9-hole courses.
Omaha Beach La Mer (Golf d'Omaha Beach)
This is the most famous of the three nines. With its 6th hole located on the edge of a cliff and overlooking the English Channel at the charming fishing port of Port en Bessin. You can also view the sea on holes 9 and 2, a wonderful par 3 that has a view of the ancient fortifications of the Tour Vauban.

Omaha Beach Le Bocage (Golf d'Omaha Beach)
This nine is known for its different shades of green and fabulous rhododendrons. When combined with 9 holes of La Mer, Le Bocage is the official competition course. It offers a stiff finish with the 16th and 17th being very long par 4s and the 18th green being heavily defended by bunkers.

Omaha Beach L'Etang (Golf d'Omaha Beach)
As the name suggests, many holes are played over water on this nine and it's quite a challenge. The par 35, 2,945 yards course includes a downhill approach to an island green on the 8th and on the 4th you have to carry the water twice. A few of the tees also have beautiful views of the Bayeux Cathedral, which is nearly a millennium old.

A few scenes of Steven Spielberg’s “Saving Private Ryan” were filmed on the golf course which was liberated by the American 1st Division on June 7, 1944.
