Golf courses
2 superb 18 hole courses. “Les Châteaux”, voted 57th best course in Mainland Europe in the latest Golf World rankings, has large fairways but challenging rough. The second Médoc course, “Les Vignes” is more tree lined and considered just as good as its famous brother.
More information on golf coursesA regular host to some top national and international events, Golf du Medoc's two golf courses were designed by Bill Coore and Rod Whitman.
Les Châteaux (Golf du Medoc)
The “Chateaux Course” was drawn in 1989 by the famous American architect Bill Coore. The wide fairways lined with heathers, the quality of greens, and the influence of winds coming from the Ocean make "The Chateaux" a fantastic golf challenge. It is necessary to play with a lot of intelligence and strategic sense, every shot is different. Considered one of the top courses in Europe, it is listed as the 12th best course in France and hosted the French Open in 1999.
Les Vignes (Golf du Medoc)
The “Vignes Course” was drawn in 1991 by the Canadian Rod Whitman. This Golf is in a typically regional landscape of moor and maritime pines. This course is dedicated to players of any levels but can be made extremely selective according to the pin positions. You will appreciate the big variety of game situations and the difficulty of the greens which will satisfy the most demanding golfers. This course welcomed the Grand Final of European Challenge Tour in 2002 - 2003 - 2004.
