Temperatures in La Manga can hit between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius in the summer months. In the winter months the temperature is very mild with most winter days being clear and sunny.
Average flight time from the UK is 2 hours 15 minutes to Murcia International Airport and approximately a 25 minute drive. If you fly to Alicante International Airport, La Manga is approximately an hours drive from the airport.
Murcia is an area that is well worth exploring; although it is the fastest growing golf destination in Spain, it is also steeped in History. The Port of Cartagena, full of bars and restaurants as well as some fantastic sea views is just a 15 minute drive away. For a taste of true Spanish life you can visit many traditional villages that are located around the area. Mar Menor also has the biggest salt water lagoon in Europe that not only attracts water sport lovers but thousands of birds, including flamingos. La Manga Club is full of a variety of bars and restaurants, the ideal place if you simply cannot decide where to eat. The complex includes many eateries and has a disco, a jazz bar and many establishments with live music. It also has a small casino. For a more cultural and traditional feel venture towards the beautiful town of Cartagena.
The La Manga strip is a 20 minute drive from the resort, and in the summer months it’s a great spot to visit. You can enjoy a fantastic selection of small bars and restaurants where locally caught seafood dominates the menu.
