    Golf Du Soleil Details

    Golf Du Soleil introduction

Golf du Soleil is an extremely apt name for this wonderful golf course that is sure to provide a lovely round for any golfer. The strategically designed layout plays host to large bunkers, cleverly placed water hazards and very well-kept fairways and greens. This quality 27-hole golfing venue has superb practice facilities and is all relatively new like many in the region.

    Golf Du Soleil information

    27 holes, 72 par, 6037 yards. --.

The Championship Golf Course at Golf du Soleil is superb 18-hole testament to the design of Fernando Mueller & Gerard Courbin unusually set in the middle of a Eucalyptus forest. Accompanying and supporting the excellent championship course there lies two equally impressive sets of nine holes, that are designed in Floridian golf style. Maybe most importantly this golfing venue combines quality with the ability to cater for a large range of group sizes and handicaps.

    Golf Du Soleil Location

Being located just outside of Agadir Golf du Soleil provides an excellent opportunity to combine a visit to a fantastic golf course and a wonderful city.

There are two courses at Golf Du Soleil. The Red and Yellow consists of two nine hole arrangements: this course is heavily bunkered, slightly longer than the Blue course and with some tight drives and water is quite difficult for the higher handicap golfer. The greens are faster and more difficult on the Red/Yellow course.

The blue course is the choice of the higher handicap golfer with interesting holes and a sufficient challenge to keep you interested. The general pace of play was good at about four hours for the 18 holes playing in a four ball, although on some days we were able to get round in 3 1/2 hours when we teed off earlier in a two ball. I should mention that we were a husband and wife pair in our seventies with an 18 and 36 handicap respectively.

We played the courses every other day during our three week stay and were generally very happy with the arrangements. We pulled trolleys as we didn't like the rather intrusive caddies that were on offer and we preferred to walk rather than use a buggy.

Drinks were quite expensive in the golf club bar at about twice the price you would pay in Agadir town.

One very useful feature was that we were able to leave our golf clubs at the course during our three week stay, and this avoided the need to drag the clubs on and off the coach transport which was provided free. We had played the other courses at Agadir during previous visits but decided to concentrate solely on Golf Du Soleil for this trip: we were not disappointed.
