Gleneagles Golf has been inspired by some of golf’s greatest players, with the influence of James Braid being clear on the design of the Kings and Queens golf courses, and Jack Nicklaus himself designed the fantastic PGA Centenary golf course.

King's Course

18 holes, 68 par, 6066 yards. Heathland.

Host of eight Scottish Opens in the past, the Kings Golf Course exudes quality through its well maintained fairways and tightly clipped greens making for perfect playing conditions. However the golf course is a serious test of a players’ ability, with subtle changes in green and tee elevation making club selection difficult but vitally important, plus round-threatening bunkers throughout the golf course make for challenging approach shots, which make the perfect addition to a golf break.

PGA Centenary Course

18 holes, 73 par, 6360 yards. Heathland.

With five tee positions available on the PGA Centenary Golf Course, the track varies from 5,065 to 7,081 yards in length, making it one of the longest golf courses in inland Scotland from the back tees. Nicklaus designed this course using the best of his earlier experiences in course architecture to create a real gem. The PGA Centenary also hosts the Jonnie Walker Classic each year, and is due to welcome the Ryder Cup in 2014.
