Golf de Garcelles (Golf de Garcelles)
Recently extended to 18 holes by the architect Yves Bureau, the 6,251 yard, par 70 Garcelles G.C. is to be found just 6km from the town of Caen. The first few holes can lull you into a false sense of security with wide, open fairways. However the par 5 7th weighs in at 632 yards and water features play a prominent role on the back nine, which is dominated by short, tight par 4s. However the courses' primary defence mechanism are its tricky greens.
