Pinheiros Altos

18 holes, 71 par, 6615 yards. Parkland.

Pinheiros Altos now boasts three loops of nine including The Pines, Corks and Olives. The Olives remains as the former back nine with The corks and Pines both par 36 nine hole courses. The course has been described as beautiful but dangerous, set in picturesque scenary and views over the Ludo Valley and Goldra Hills. Trees and four lakes cover most of the course and sets a challenge for all levels of golfers.

San Lorenzo

18 holes, 72 par, 6822 yards. Woodland.

Set in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, the golf course is beautifully maintained and features large undulating greens, and set in a thick pine forest. The fairways trace their way seamlessly through the landscape, with a range of lakes and lagoons to trap wayward shots. Strategically placed bunkers and numerous holes right on the coast offer great views and many challenges.

Post-golf, guests can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the wood-panelled clubhouse, which offers a bar, restaurant, and a comfortable lounge plus a spacious outside terrace overlooking the driving range and the 1st and 10th fairways.

Quinta do Lago South Course

Designed by American William Mitchell in 1974, the South Golf Course at Quinta do Lago has held the Portuguese Open on eight occasions and is the perfect setting for an additional round to add to your perfect golf break. The Quinta do Lago South Course measures in longer than the North at a touch over 7,000-yards from the back, giving the big hitters of the ball an advantage on the par 5s. The fairways are dotted with pine trees, requiring accurate drives to stay on track, and the addition of lakes, local flora and the beautiful backdrop of the Ria Formosa make this a truly spectacular round of golf.

Quinta do Lago North Course

The North Golf Course at Quinta Do Lago offers a great challenge for golfers of all standards. The sandy terrain is a joy to play on, and the mixture of woodland, umbrella pine trees, tricky strategically placed bunkers and water hazards keep players on their toes throughout the round. Just shy of 6,700-yards in length, the Quinta do Lago North Course tests your ability to drive the ball, as well as your finesse around the greens, making this an ideal addition to any golf break.

Quinta do Lago Laranjal Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7064 yards. Parkland.

The par-72 Laranjal Golf Course is a fantastic track all year round, with great greens kept in fantastic condition. It has been voted the best golf course in Portugal, 2011, and it is not hard to see why. Originally an orange grove, the Quinta do Lago Laranjal Course offers 18 holes of championship golf in an outstanding setting. The golf course compliments the North and South courses beautifully and the three can combine to make an inspirational golf break.

Ocean Course

The Ocean Course at Vale Do Lobo is situated right on the very edge of the coast line and offers some of the most stunning views in European golf. The undulating fairways run alongside rows of pine trees, olive trees and eucalyptuses, to present a testing golf course that can examine a golfer's game as well as any other course in Europe. The ocean golf course demands accuracy to shoot well.

Royal Course

The acclaimed Royal Course is among the top 100 best golf courses in Europe. The Royal Golf Course has rolling fairways set amidst pine trees and beautiful lakes surrounded by wild flowers. Its features include the almost island green of the 9th and the famous 16th, with cliff-top carryover – one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world, which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve. The Royal Course has plenty of water hazards, sand traps and generally more length than its neighbouring course, offering a much sterner test of golf. The 16th is one of the most famous holes in Portuguese golf, a par 3 requiring a shot of over 235 yards over three spectacular cliffs to reach the green.
