Forest of Arden Golf Resort overview

Set within 10,000 acres of ancient woodland in the Warwickshire countryside where deer roam free, Forest of Arden is one of our best-selling UK resorts thanks to its central locations and great value.

The resort offers an excellent four-star hotel, great spa facilities, and two exceptional golf courses – including the Arden Course which is a former host to the British Masters and English Open.

Every one of its 214 stylish bedrooms come well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay, along with an abundance of leisure facilities and lavish surroundings.

With an excellent location in the West Midlands, nestled between Birmingham and Coventry, the hotel is accessible by train, plane or car, and is ideal for groups who are located in different part of the UK.

Golf Courses

Forest of Arden is home to two top parkland golf courses. The Arden Course is the flagship layout and is a previous host to the European Tour’s British Masters, English Open, and more recently, the Hero Open. Follow in the footsteps of former winners here such as Colin Montgomerie, Darren Clarke, and Thomas Bjorn!

The course itself is a Donald Steel design that makes full use of the 10,000-acre estate, with majestic oak trees, dramatic water infested holes, and beautiful conditions. The back-9 is particularly special and plays through a stunning deer park, which is a great perk to the round. The 18th is one of the best parkland holes in golf. A long, nerve-racking par three that plays over a deep ravine to a large green, framed by the hotel and clubhouse.

The Aylesford Course is another great parkland test and is the easier of the two courses at Forest of Arden, which makes it perfect for beginners.

Forest of Arden offers two excellent dining options. The award-winning Cast Iron Grill & Restaurant is a brilliant choice for dinner and offers fine international cuisine using fresh locally sourced ingredients. Zest serves more casual dining throughout the day with a wide range of light dishes and snacks to enjoy before or after your round of golf. There is an outdoor terrace where you can eat or sip a drink al fresco, and there are big screens throughout the property for watching sport!

Spa & Leisure

After your round, relax in style at The Cedarwood Spa. With the options of an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, tennis courts, and a brilliant health and beauty salon, you’ll feel fully rejuvenated and ready to get back out on the fairways.

Take a trip down to Wedgnock Rifle Range, a large adventure sports centre featuring a spacious wooded paintball area covering over 50 acres. The centre also has a rifle range offering shooters a complete spectrum of clay shooting disciplines. For a spot of shopping, we’d highly recommend Birmingham Bullring.

Arden Golf Course

Breaks from £149

Considered to be the flagship golf course for the hotel, this Donald Steel designed course has held the British Masters and English Open, on top of numerous European Tour Events. Measuring 7213 yards from the Championship tees, the par-72 course demands length as well as accuracy with the tree lined fairways. With the addition of water hazards and bunkers, there are plenty of challenges to test your golf game, regardless of your handicap.

Aylesford Course

Breaks from £277
Style: Parkland

Measuring in at only 5801 yards, the Aylesford course may not have the reputation of the Arden Course, but it still makes for a tricky round of golf that will challenge even the more advanced golfers. The par-69 course uses its intricate design, including challenging water hazards and tough-to-read greens, to make accuracy an important trait to scoring low around at this Forest of Arden Golf Course.
