The Verdura Golf & Spa resort uses a rich palette of earth tones and bright printed fabrics to reflect the character of Sicily, with a design motif inspired by a classic Sicilian tile. Bedrooms feature four-poster wooden beds, polished concrete floors and artful Italian lighting, and are decorated with locally fired earthenware. The bathrooms are naturally lit with stone vanity tops, and some have outside courtyards with fig trees. There are four restaurants and five bars on offer at Verdura, each in their own unique setting with terraces overlooking the sea of picturesque hills. The hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant, Zagara, is run by celebrity chef Fulvio Pierangelini, who has put together a substantial menu, making full use of all the natural ingredients available. Situated on the beachfront, Amare Restaurant serves the freshest seafood which has all been locally sourced from nearby Sicilian fishing villages. Other dining options include Liola, which offers Trattoria style food, Buon Giorino, for breakfast in the sun, Granita, a great area to enjoy snacks and signature cocktails, and the golf clubhouse, Torre Bar, which is perfect for an after-round buffet lunch.
Verdura Golf & Spa Resort has created a special area of blue for guests to drift away in the stunning swimming pool. Situated at the heart of the resort, the pool is one of Europe’s largest, at 60 metres long. Water cascades down from one tier into the next, and infinity-edge views look out to sea.
