Oxford Mature honest professional person
- The course resembled the tumbled down chateau it surrounded. It was poorly manicured with long fairways, and in particular the first cut off the fairways was at least 100mm. Loose grass covering making it difficult to find a ball which was only a foot or so off fairway. Frustrating and slowing play. It obviously lacks greens staff and appears to be a golf course designed from very wet farm land which is being looked after by the farmer himself using old fashioned equipment such as the gang mowers we noticed on course. There were areas where buggies or equipment had been stuck recently. Greens were shocking. I was embarrassed taking three friends for their first experience golfing in France. The clubhouse was a disaster area with all tables cluttered and no service. Unable to get any service we walked out. One of my friends speaks fluent French and he overhead detrimental comments about the English expecting presidents on their course. I would not recommend or visit there again. Not worth he trip from your base.
