Suffolk Golf fanatic!
- A round of golf we nearly didn't get to play! Thunderstorms and a terrible weather forecast prevented us teeing off at our time of 10am and because the course was 'open' we were told we would not get a refund.
After an improvement in the weather we returned to the course two hours later and were really pleased to be told we could go out then instead.
The course has drainage facilities so even after hours of relentless rain it played very well and was in immaculate condition.
This was by far our favourite course of the 4 we played and I would strongly recommend anyone to play this course. It rewards good driving with a relatively short second shot to very well protected greens. The par 3's are interesting, short but hard to get close.........lots of fun and frustration trying.
Pace of play was excellent, the mornings weather probably helped as we were the first to go out after the dreadful weather in the morning.
We visited for some food during the afternoon the previous day after playing Les Pins and the first tee was very busy and I can see why, it's a lovely course and clearly a popular one to play.
The 1st and 18th looked rather intimidating but were great fun to play.
We got to the 18th tee before the rain and rumbles of thunder returned.............very lucky indeed because having played this it would have been a dreadful shame to have not played this lovely course.
