There are a number of hotels to choose from including the Hôtel du Golf Barrière 4*, the two 3*’s Hôtel de L’Amirauté and Hôtel Mercure Trouville, as well as the family run Hôtel Le Fer à Cheval 2*.
The first couple of holes of the course lull you into a false sense of security with their wide, open fairways. However, with water featuring prominently on the back nine and multi-levelled greens, beware!
The 7th hole is a 603 yard par 5 with water down the right hand side!
A good, challenging golf course that is often overlooked, Golf de Garcelles should be on every golf break itinerary in Normandy. Watch out for tricky greens and lots of water.
