Plouarzel, Brittany (5 mins from Brest)
The nearest hotel is the Golf-Hôtel Saint Samson 2* in Pleumeur-Bodou or indeed on the Southern Brittany coast, the Hôtel du Golf de Saint Laurent 3*. Both are over an hours drive.
Although this is a fairly short course compared to today’s standards, it other a decent challenge. There are narrow fairways and small greens to negociate. Some stunning views can be enjoyed.
This excellent layout is the most westerly golf course in France.
If you are arriving in France via Roscoff, this could be the perfect introduction to golf in Brittany. Alternatively, it could make for a brilliant final day round.
