Las Vegas

Las Vegas is an obvious choice for a bachelor party destination with the bright lights, restaurants/bars, entertainment, and more!! With all the excitement on The Strip, the golf in Las Vegas is often overlooked even though there are some fantastic courses in the region.

Las Vegas Strip

If you are booking a Bachelor party golf trip here’s the way to do it:

Stay on The Strip and travel to golf

The Las Vegas Strip is home to some of the most famous casino hotels in the world and all within walking distance from each other. Stay at customer favorites like MGM Grand, Bellagio, or Luxor and enjoy the casinos, restaurants, bars, and more!

While all The Strip is full of activities, most of the golf courses close to The Strip are private, so you will need to commute to most of the courses on the itinerary. We recommend starting or ending your trip with Bali Hai which is located adjacent to the airport towards the end of The Strip and is considered one of the best golf courses in Las Vegas.

Bali Hai Golf Club

If you want to play multiple rounds in a day, golf clubs like Paiute (3 courses), Angel Park (2 courses), and Revere (2 courses) are ideal for a day of 36. Other customer favorites to play in Las Vegas are Rio Secco, TPC Las Vegas, Aliante, and Chimera to name a few!

Stay & play in the desert

Another option in Nevada is the four-star Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort. Located approximately 25 minutes from The Strip, the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort is a more relaxed stay compared to the hustle and bustle of The Strip and offers the convenience of having everything on-site.

The resort is home to the Reflection Bay Golf Club with the SouthShore Country Club located across the lake from the resort. You can play a 3rd round of golf at Chimera Golf Club just 10 minutes from the resort as well. Enjoy having multiple restaurants, bars, pools, and more all on-site!

Airport: Las Vegas International Airport (LAS)

  • 10 minute drive to The Strip

Miami/Palm Beach

Miami is a fantastic destination for a bachelor party for groups looking to do everything on-site at a resort. The nightlife and culture in downtown Miami is certainly one to experience during your trip, but will be a drive from one of the resorts in the area. With warm weather year-round, it is the perfect spot to book your bachelor party golf trip, no matter the season.

Trump National Doral and JW Marriott Turnberry are two high-end golf resorts with multiple accommodation options and golf courses on-site in the Miami area. Trump National Doral is home to the famous Blue Monster, a former PGA TOUR venue, along with three other well-manicured courses for a full bachelor party golf trip experience.

Trump National Doral Miami

The JW Marriott Turnberry is home to two Championship golf courses, multiple restaurants/bars, pools, and more. It is located about 17 miles from downtown Miami, and a short 2 miles from the Golden Beaches.

Just north of Miami, in Palm Beach Gardens, is where you will find the PGA National Resort, a recently renovated five-star property! Home to five championship golf courses including a PGA TOUR course, PGA National is perfect for a bachelor party golf trip where you will be playing the best golf courses in South Florida. Everything you need is on-site at this resort with restaurants/bars, pools, pickleball, and more! In a short 20-minute drive, you can get to the beaches in Palm Beach as well as the Palm Beach Airport.

Airport: Miami International Airport (MIA)

  • 20 minutes drive to Trump Doral (40 minutes from FLL)
  • 30 minutes to JW Turnberry (15 minutes from FLL)

Charleston

Take your Bachelor party to the LowCountry when you visit our hometown of Charleston, SC. Charleston is a historic, coastal city with fantastic culture, nightlife, and golf. While Charleston is a smaller city, it boasts a wide range of golf experiences, all of which are perfect for a bachelor party!

Here are a couple of ideas:

Stay & play in one place

Charleston is home to two oceanfront golf resorts: Kiawah Island and Wild Dunes. Located about 30 minutes south of the city is the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, home to five golf courses including a two-time PGA Championship host, the Ocean Course. This expansive resort offers villas and hotel accommodations all within proximity to a golf course, beach, or other resort amenities.

The Wild Dunes Resort is located about 20 minutes north of the city of Charleston on the Isle of Palms and is home to two Fazio-designed courses. Enjoy hotel or condo options as well as multiple restaurants, bars, pools, and beaches all onsite.

Stay downtown & travel to golf

Another option for a Charleston bachelor party golf trip is to stay in downtown at the Francis Marion Hotel which is within walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, shops, and nightlife in the area. This is a great option for those looking to enjoy the night out on the town after golfing during the day.

The best golf courses in South Carolina will be located in Mount Pleasant which is about a 25-minute drive from the hotel, but gives you a wide variety of golf course layouts like Dunes West, Rivertowne, and Charleston National. Another golf course option which is located on the other side of town is the Links of Stono Ferry which has some of the most scenic golf course views in Charleston.

  • 20 minutes drive to Downtown Charleston
  • 40 minutes to Kiawah Island and Wild Dunes

Scottsdale

Another desert location that would be suitable for a bachelor party is Scottsdale. Scottsdale is home to many fantastic golf courses and resorts while the nightlife in the Old Town area is hard to beat.

Like the other destinations, you can do a bachelor party golf trip in many ways, but here is what we recommend:

Stay in Old Town and travel to golf

If you are looking for the best of both the golf and nightlife, you will want to stay in Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town is the historic part of the city which is easily walkable and boasts a wide range of bars, restaurants, shops, and more.

The Hyatt House Old Town offers suite-style rooms which can fit 1- 4 guys per suite and is situated within a 10-minute walk to a plethora of dining and drinking establishments. The golf courses in Scottsdale area are scattered around with the better courses located a good distance away from Old Town.

On average, the drive to these courses will be about 15-20 min from the hotel with a handful of closer options like McCormick Ranch and Papago. Courses such as Troon North, TPC Scottsdale (home to the Phoenix Open), and Kierland Golf Club are in the northern part of Scottsdale while course options like Ocotillo and Ak-Chin Southern Dunes located further south of the city.

Stay and play options

Another option for a bachelor party golf trip in Scottsdale is the multiple golf resorts in the area. We would highly recommend staying and playing at the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in the Fountain Hills area.

The four-star resort offers a 24-hour casino, multiple restaurants/bars, and 36 holes of golf on-site. Plus, it is located just 25 minutes from the Old Town area! There are also three more of the best courses in Scottsdale right around the corner from the resort, with transportation to and from those courses available at an additional fee.

Another great stay and play option would be the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa which offers 27 holes of golf, as well as multiple pools, restaurants/bars, and a full spa. The resort is in North Scottsdale closer to the courses like TPC Scottsdale, Grayhawk, and McDowell Mountain, as well as the Kierland Commons which contains local shops and restaurants directly across the street.

Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

  • 15 minutes to Old Town Scottsdale
  • 20 minutes to Westin Kierland
  • 25 minutes to We-Ko-Pa

Austin

Another great bachelor party golf trip destination would be Austin, Texas. The capital city of the Lone Star State offers the best of both worlds with lively nightlife downtown as well as a relaxing atmosphere in the countryside.

Here are two ways to plan your bachelor party golf trip in Austin:

Stay Downtown and travel for golf

If your group is looking to be in the center of the action, this is the best option for you. Stay at one of the many hotels in downtown Austin and be immersed in all the city has to offer.

Staying on the north side of the Colorado River gives you the best chance to experience all the local bars and restaurants the city has to offer all within walking distance from your hotel. For the golf around the Austin area, you will need a car to get to the courses as the courses are roughly 20 – 30 minute drive from downtown. The golf courses to play on your trip are Falconhead, Avery Ranch, and Lost Pines.

Stay and play resort style

If the group is looking for more of a relaxed atmosphere, then a stay & play package at the Horseshoe Bay Resort is the perfect spot. This resort is located 55 miles outside of the city of Austin, but it comes with the convenience of having everything you need on-site.

The four-star resort is set on the edge of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson and offers multiple accommodation options, an assortment of restaurants/bars, water sports, tennis, multiple pools, and 54 holes of Robert Trent Jones golf all located on the expansive property! This is the ideal stay and play destination for a bachelor party golf trip in Austin!

  • 10 minutes to Downtown Austin
  • 75 minutes to Horseshoe Bay

Myrtle Beach

If your group is looking to go wild on this bachelor party golf trip, then Myrtle Beach is going to be your best option. Home to over 200 golf courses along the northern South Carolina coast, Myrtle Beach is a golfer’s paradise with some exciting nightlife to boot.

Here are a few ideas for a Bachelor party golf trip in “The Golf Capital of the World”:

Stay and play resort experience

Myrtle Beach has a number of golf resorts so that you don’t have to travel once you arrive. Barefoot Golf Resort in North Myrtle has four spectacular golf course each designed by different architects (Dye, Love, Fazio, Norman) and has villa accommodations to house multiple guys in one unit. The resort is located a mile away from Barefoot Landing which has several restaurants, bars, and shops.

Myrtlewood Golf Resort is another option that has villa accommodations and 36 holes but does not have any restaurants on the property. One of the most popular golf resorts in Myrtle is the Legends Golf Resort which is home to three golf courses on property. The Legends packages come with breakfast, lunch, and two drink tickets per day of golf.

Myrtle Beach Golf Tour

Another way to do a bachelor golf trip is to do a tour of the golf courses in the area. With over 200 in the area, it is hard to go more than five minutes without driving by one. Our Golf Trip Experts suggest a stay at the Kingston Plantation Condos or Embassy Suites located right on the beach in central Myrtle Beach and playing some of the top courses in the area.

The experts recommend TPC Myrtle Beach, Pine Lakes, Arcadian Shores, Myrtle Beach National (3 courses), and World Tour Links. For those looking to venture a little further south into the Pawley’s Island area, True Blue and Caledonia Golf Clubs are well worth the drive.

Airport: Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR)

  • 30 minutes to Embassy Suites/Kingston Condos & Barefoot
