Laguna Golf Club overview
Laguna Golf Club underwent extensive development and reopened in 2015. The layout is enjoyable, yet it is a truly challenging golf course for golfers of all abilities, with a mixture of fantastic holes and exceptional course design on offer. The traditional Thai villa-designed clubhouse offers a range of luxury facilities. Golfers can indulge in a drink alongside stunning views over the golf course and surrounding landscape.
Laguna Golf Course overview
Originally opened in 1993, the course underwent a redesign and upgrade in 2014, making it one of the most enjoyable courses in Phuket. The golf course is undulating with wide fairways that may seem inviting, but water will punish those tee shots wide of the mark.
Many holes on the course feature large bodies of water, with the back nine meandering through mature stands of trees. The finishing two holes are probably the most challenging, with the monster 612-yard par-5 17th, requiring play at least twice over water, and the beautiful par-4 18th hole.
Signature Holes
The par 4 3rd hole is the ultimate risk reward hole. Big hitters will be able to go for the green in one on this short par 4 but miss the green and you could be wet. Laying up isn’t easy either, with water left and right of the fairway ready to punish any wayward shots. On paper this should be a birdie opportunity but get it wrong and you could be looking at bogey or worse.
