Overview
The Isla Canela Links golf course opened in 2007 and is located north of Ayamonte, close to the Guadiana River. Designed by José Canales, it is a stunning 18-hole course that stretches around a residential area. It's 7,152 yards from the toughest starting points, with a par of 72. Water is a big part of the challenge, showing up in almost half of the holes, especially after the front nine were recently changed around.
Signature Holes
Some standout features are the challenging third hole, a par three needing a straight shot to reach the green, along with two tough, lengthy par fours at the 11th and 13th holes (ranked as the second and fourth most difficult). The 18th hole, a left-turning par five, finishes at a green heavily guarded by sand traps.
