Platja de Pals

This is the oldest course on the Costa Brava having opened in 1966 and it’s viewed as one of Spain’s leading layouts. F. W. Hawtree built the course on ancient dune land which was planted with dense pine trees over a hundred years ago. The result is a beautiful round of golf that, as you might expect considering the designer, has a distinct English feel to it with the combination of crisp seaside-style turf and tranquil pines offering a wonderful local element. Platja de Pals offers what might be seen as a generous par of 73, but with the tight fairways guarded by the pines, there are plenty of holes to catch you unawares.
