The East Sussex National Golf Resort provides visitors with two fantastic championship standard golf courses in the East and the West courses. Both are of a great standard, and the venue also provides great practice facilities to perfect your swing before taking your game to the course. The Academy has some of the finest practise facilities in Europe. The facilities include a 13 acre driving range, with open grassed and covered bays, greenside and fairway bunkers, pitching and chipping areas, three putting greens and a championship standard three hole academy course.

East Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7138 yards. Parkland.

The East Course at East Sussex National was designed specifically with championship golf in mind and will challenge even the best of players. From the gold tees, the golf course measures 7,138-yards, which gave it the scope to hold the 1993 and 1994 European Open. Despite the white tees measuring a more forgiving 6,046-yards, the course is still a good test of golf, with plenty of bunkers lining the greens and fairways waiting to trap the slightly wayward balls. With the 18th tee producing exciting dramas bringing many of the tour Pros to consider it to be one of the most demanding finishing holes in golf. Measuring 454 yards off the Championship tees, it is an uphill par four and is waiting to catch out the finest of golfers.

West Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7154 yards. Parkland.

With beautiful scenery to enjoy throughout a round on the West Golf Course, this testing course is slightly narrower and longer than the East course making it a real favourite among visitors to the East Sussex National Golf Resort. The West boasts no fewer than four signature holes, with two of these being the 17th and 18th. The 17th is a demanding par five, where you follow in the footsteps of John Daly at the European Open, thinking back to how he pitched his drive beyond the lone oak tree on the right hand side. Or the 18th, where it is essential to have an accurate drive on to a tree lined fairway, followed by a shot into a heavily guarded green with the backdrop of the magnificent Clubhouse beyond. With plenty of dog-legs and undulating fairways, you’ll find an enjoyable round of golf that will challenge all types of golfer.
