3rd Green Troia

Troia

18 holes, 72 par, 6914 yards. Links.

Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr, this great course is considered to be one of Portugal's most fascinating challenges. The greens are small, defended by bunkers and mounds, while the fairways are narrow and bordered by sandy dunes and pine trees. The front nine has a run of beautiful sea holes and Trent Jones himself considered the 3rd hole, which borders the beach, to be one of the best holes he has ever designed. It was included in his "The Ideal 18 hole Golf Course" collection. The course was classified by Golf World magazine as the 25th best course in Europe.

Riba Golfe I

18 holes, 72 par, 7327 yards. Woodland.

Constructed during the summer of 2004, Riba Golfe I was designed to be a top tournament venue of the future. Set within cork oak trees, the design makes full use of the sweeping undulations of the site, providing many spectacular holes across valleys and lakes. The course offers a testing challenge with narrow fairways emphasising precise shot-making over outright length. Add to this large bunkers and undulating greens and you have a course where a cool head and steady nerve are required.

Riba Golfe II

18 holes, 72 par, 6846 yards. Woodland.

Sitting next to its sister golf course, Riba Golfe II follows a similar layout and again flows through cork oak trees and undulating countryside. The course offers wider fairways than Riba Golfe I but still provides a challenge with its range of pot bunkers, streams and ponds. With several holes crossing valleys, the course provides an interesting and varied round suitable for a range of players.

Santo Estêvão

18 holes, 73 par, 6979 yards. Parkland.

This recently built course forms part of the Vila Nova de Santo Estevao Resort and sits in untouched countryside of the Ribatejo region. The course, designed by Donald Steel, follows a parkland layout with all 18 of its holes providing an interesting and varied challenge. Once finished, you can relax in the brand new clubhouse overlooking the course and the fantastic views of the Portuguese countryside.

Tree-lined fairway

Montado Golf Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7100 yards. Links / Woodland.

Montado Golf Club consists of a Par 72 golf course measuring in just over 5700 yards. The main challenge comes in the form of water, and plenty of it. The signature par 3 18th Hole is what makes this golf course stand out, although you will need to negotiate your way through the Cork trees that line the course in order to get there with a decent score.

Aroeira I

18 holes, 72 par, 6695 yards. Woodland.

Aroeira I was designed by architect Frank Pennink and opened in 1973. This 18-hole course is described by specialists as being one of the best golf courses in Europe. Having hosted the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997 and a number of Ladies Opens, it is clear to say that this golf course is sure to give you and exciting and challenging round of golf.

Aroeira II

18 holes, 72 par, 7000 yards. Parkland with lakes.

Aroeira II, like the name suggests, is the second 18-hole golf course at Aroeira golf club. Opened in April 2000, its architect, Donald Steel, took care to comply with European Tour recommendations and designed a golf course with future Portuguese Opens in mind. 5 lakes come into play throughout this golf course and with various tees for each hole mean it can be played by players of all levels. Aroeira II played host the Qualifying School of Ladies European Tour and several Portuguese Ladies Opens.
