La Sella

Bordering the Montgo Nature Park, La Sella is surrounded by classic Mediterranean woodland (including pine trees and orange groves) and rolling hills offering some beautiful scenery. Nine of the 18 holes were designed by Ryder Cup legend and multiple major winner, Jose Maria Olazabal, and with many of the holes needing superb recovery skills if you get out of position, you can see it bears his touch. However, it is not an overly demanding golf course. It measures only just over 6,000 yards and as long as you locate the lush fairways in the valleys between the trees, a good score is likely to follow.

Oliva Nova Golf Course

18 holes, 72 par, 6350 yards. Parkland.

It says much of this excellent course that it was not only designed by a golfing legend, but that it has also been voted the best layout Seve Ballesteros has ever turned his hand to. Situated close to the resort town of Oliva, water plays a large part in the difficulty of your round here, with a number of lakes strategically positioned on 15 holes of its 6,800+ yards length. Ballesteros himself said of his par 72 creation, "The Oliva Nova Golf Course offers great variety for all golfers. As it has short, medium and long holes as well as right and left hand dog leg fairways. A true but fair test for all golfers alike." A further indication of the course’s quality can be shown by it being a four-time host of the Peugeot Oki Spanish National Championship.

Levante

18 holes, 72 par, 7297 yards. Parkland.

The Villaitana Championship is a US-style golf course spread out over an area of more than 80 hectares. In classic Nicklaus tradition, it features wide fairways and mounded, rolling, yet inviting putting surfaces. Stretching to more than 7,200 yards, it is a bit of a monster and offers stunning views of the Mediterranean and the Finestrat Mountains.

Poniente

18 holes, 62 par, 4017 yards. Parkland.

The 18 hole, par 62 Villaitana Executive, reaches to 4,219 yards and offers a gently alternative to its sister layout. Set in a picturesque valley of Mediterranean pine and broad views, it is perfect for all levels of golfer and would be a great place for beginners to hone their newly acquired skills.
