We were very disappointed with the food and should've been told the hotel was a conference facility and we would have to use the same room as all the delegates, although a table had been reserved this table was taken and we had to wait round for a table and were basically barged around by the delegates!

The golf course greens had just been hollow tinned again we were not told there would be course maintenance going on.

If we had on known the above we would not have booked the break.

My wife and I went for a two day golf break. The course is awful. No fairways at all--just playing on semi-rough until greens reached. Signage to next tee is poor-- particularly from 9th to 10th tee.

Hotel (golf wing) is totally dedicated to conference delegates. Bar at lunch-times was not staffed--had to keep asking for service. Arriving in hotel room we found no plug in sink and one table light not working. It took three calls to reception to get someone to sort this out. Also, windows were locked, so impossible to let in fresh air.

Food: plates were cold for hot food. First evening meal was unappetising-- steak pieces were tough. Hot breakfasts were also cold.

Facilities: apart from wall television and a pool table, nothing. Evening hubbub from training delegates was much too loud. The small scattered seating areas looked like railway waiting rooms, and the central 'Street' reminded me of Euston Station. Also, did not like at all having to share the hotel's 'lounge area' with two BMW cars.

I would certainly not recommend this hotel for a golf break. we felt as if we had gate-crashed a private training event. The course is poorly maintained.
