Furthermore, Dale Hill is in 1066 country surrounded by many historic houses, castles and hop gardens. The historic town of Battle, with its magnificent Abbey is only a short drive away, as is Sissinghurst Castle and Batemans, the home of Kipling. It is also "Winnie the Pooh" country, so if you lose at golf you can try your luck at "Pooh Sticks" on Pooh's actual bridge.
