Ugolino was founded in 1933 and designed by British architects Blandford and Gannon. The course started out as a par 69 before being extended to a par 72 by Piero Mancinelli in the sixties.

The course offers rolling fairways set in classic Italian countryside. Other greats such as Greg Norman and Costantino Rocca have played here, confirming it as one of the top courses in the area.
