Chateau des Vigiers dates back to 1597 and is set in the beautiful terrain of the Dordogne. The Chateau is known locally as "Little Versailles" and was the creation of Jean Vigiers, a Royal judge. The Chateau was completely restored in 1992 and is furnished in a French Country House style, A range of accommodation is offered at Chateau des Vigiers: The Chateau itself has 25 individually decorated rooms (12 “deluxe” rooms and 13 “Classic” rooms). The Dépendances, a stone’s throw from the Chateau, has 22 rooms (11 Junior Suites and 11 standard rooms) and uses local stone and old beams to great effect. Finally the brand new “Relais des Vigiers”, built under ECO friendly standards, situated next to the 1st tee of the new 9 hole golf course designed by Donald Steel, overlooks the golf courses, the lake and the Chateau. It has 40 spacious “Tradition” rooms each with its own balcony or terrace.. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, TV, Minibar and WIFI. Other superb facilities include, 2 outstanding restaurants specialising in foie gras and truffles, a bar, a billiards room, 2 heated swimming pools and tennis courts. There is also a Maria Galland Health and Beauty centre where you can indulge in professional facial and body treatments or use the Spa facilities (steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and fitness centre). Chateau des Vigiers also produces high quality, award winning wines on its own 17 hectare wine estate. The multilingual staff are dedicated to offering you a professional but unobtrusive service ensuring that your stay there will be both relaxing and enjoyable both on and off the golf course.
