Castro Marim Atlantic Course (Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club)
Located near the historic town of Castro Marim, this recently built course runs through undulating parkland and hilly terrain. It has a very special setting in the peaceful atmosphere of the eastern Algarve and was in fact the first course to be built in this region, offering players beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean, the River Guadiana and the nearby nature reserve.
Designed by Terry Murray, the course has managed to make use of the natural undulations of the rolling hills and is sprinkled with many ornamental lakes. It calls for careful play with strategically placed water hazards and fairway terrain that can put you in trouble. Combined with bunkers that have the ability to attract any stray shots, successfully conquering this course can be an immensely satisfying experience.
