The unspoiled rolling countryside of Castlemartyr in East Cork is steeped in rich history. Here an 18th Century classic manor house lies adjacent to the ruins of an 800 year old castle originally built by Richard Earl de Clare, known as Strongbow. The manor house has been magnificently restored and elegantly enhanced to offer 103 deluxe guest rooms, luxury spa and impeccably styled interiors.
Each of the 103 bedrooms and suites (11 in The Manor House and 92 in the new wing) are individually appointed with the finest in interior design and comfort. Many of The Manor House Suites have sweeping views of the 18th century parkland and lakes
The estate grounds offer a myriad of possibilities for outdoor pursuits including, horse and carriage rides, clay pigeon shooting, archery, croquet on Mitchell’s Lawn, woodland trails and a range of team building programmes.
There are a selection of excellent dining options which include the Bell Tower Fine, the on-site Italian, Franchini’s, and The Garden Room for afternoon tea. There are also two bars – The Knights Bar and The Clubhouse which is located at the golf club.
There is a spa and fitness centre on-site which includes ESPA products and treatments, an indoor 20 metre swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, and a relaxation lounge.
