Green view

Gary Player Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7810 yards. Parkland.

Arguably one of the most famous courses in South Africa, the Gary Player Golf Course at Sun City is continually ranked as one of the best in the country. Host to the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Tournament, this 18-hole course is both demanding and picturesque with some claiming it to be the toughest course in the Southern Hemisphere. Although the parkland layout is fairly flat, many water hazards, cunningly positioned bunkers and hidden pin placements make it a fantastic test. The course is immaculate with wide Kikuyu fairways bordered by thick bushveld offering a real feature to the layout. The fairways then snake upto excellent bent grass greens that will test the best of putters. With multiple tees making it enjoyable for golfers of all levels, the Gary Player Country Club is a definite must play when golfing in Sun City.

Lost City Course

18 holes, 72 par, 7681 yards. Parkland / Links.

Situated close to the excellent Gary Player Course and with similar characteristics, Lost City Golf Course is carved out of undulating, rocky terrain with views of the bushveld and mountainous landscape from every part of the course. The desert style layout of the front-nine has a real links feel to it, with large waste bunkers that prevent safe landing areas for drivers, placing a premium on straight hitting. The highlight of the course is the signature par-three 13th. From the elevated tee you will see the green shaped like the African continent. You also won’t miss the numerous bunkers and water hazards guarding the hole that are home to about 40 Nile crocodiles! The 13th hole is well talked about and has become a graveyard for 100’s of balls. A fantastic round of golf.
