    Dublin Authentic reviews always!
2 very nice and challenging golf courses here at Carton House and both in really good condition. However, we had 2 older players in our group and due to the fact that golf buggies were not permitted on the course this made it a really tough exercise for them. No exception was catered for even though the course was very dry and would have accepted a buggy with no ill effects on the course.
The lack of food options was also an inconvenience with early closing times and limited numbers accepted in the restaurant which meant we had to get a taxi to nearby Maynooth to eat. Upon finishing the golf on Monday afternoon we were informed that the golf Coach House restaurant was not open.

The overall building was very nice very impressive but the hotel food and service was very poor for a four star rating, and not good value for money, the rooms were next to a room used for corporate events and two nights were kepted awake with music and noisy guests outside smoking and drinking as all our rooms were on ground floor right next door to this, recommend they keep the golfers and corporate guest separate . However the club house food service and friendly staff was very good and the golf courses were two of the best courses ever played especially the Montgomerie course, would return to play these not sure if we would stay at hotel again. We did speak to the manager and she said they know they have these problems and are trying to put them right and if we return next year we would see a difference. ! !

Rooms were nice but restaurant was unavailable due to short staffing.

We had to eat in the Coachhouse which was dirty and service was very poor. Many items on menu not available. Food average at best.

Golf course was nice but again, only one open.

Would recommend spending a few extra quid and staying at one of the many other golf resorts in the Dublin area.
