The historic port city of Cadiz harbours some of Spain’s best golf courses and should be a destination on every golfer’s bucket-list. Not only are golfers drawn to Cadiz because of its marvellous history, but also the on-course history as well, with some of Spain’s oldest and best courses occupying the region.

Montecastillo Golf Course is rightly considered a top Cadiz’s golf course. It is notable for being golf legend Jack Nicklaus’ first signature course in Spain and has remained one of his best designs to date.

Montecastillo was host to the Volvo Masters for five years from 1997-2001 and since then has received significant investment to bring it back to its absolute fiery best. Another example of a Cadiz golf course showing what Cadiz golf is all about is the course at Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club.

Known for its 3 loops of 9 it was designed by José María Olazábal and is a top-quality course that provides golfers a stern test of their abilities. It is also notably part of the European Tour’s qualifying school circuit. "
