After hearing from Chris about the first part of the Tour Fit For Golf Programme, here is Nick's run down of his experience on the next stage at The London Club...
So with a sense of achievement of having eliminated a sway from my swing and incorporating a ‘proper’ turn I arrived at another premier Golfbreaks.com venue - The London Club for my first reassessment.
Since the initial assessment at Celtic Manor I had received my personalised exercise program and thrown myself head first into improving my flexibility as well as diligently following the drill provided by Simon Holmes which saw me tethered to the ground, by a bit of equipment called the Power Hip Rotator, hitting countless balls on the range much to the amusement of my friends and colleagues at my home club.

This sense of achievement was quickly put into context after a morning on the range using the About Golf technology and the skills, knowledge and patience of Simon Holmes and JJ Rivet. Yes there were slight improvements but with a lack of flexibility and over reliance on a turn from my hips and not as required from the torso it was graphically demonstrated in minute detail.
So with my brain hurting from the information overload supplied by the About Golf technology Simon and JJ started the process of breaking down the information into simple bit size chunks and devising an action plan and drills to supplement my exercise program to take the next step in building a swing that I can trust.

After all of the technical bits and pieces I had the pleasure of playing the International course, supposedly the lesser of the two courses, and was greeted with 18 holes as aesthetically pleasing as any course that I have played. With decent walks between green and tee the anticipation levels raised as you climbed the hill or walked round the corner to be greeted with another great hole.
With water in play on many of the holes you will need to hold your nerve to score well around this challenging track but it is certainly a fair test of golf and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.
