This week has been a very exciting week for Golfbreaks.com, particularly in the Marketing department. We found out that Hitwise added a blog discussing the effect the Ryder Cup had on travel companies, and we were one of the top specialist golf holiday companies to benefit!
This is very exciting as we are now competing with the likes of travel giant Thomas Cook for enquiries... we are playing with the big boys of sports travel now. The success of our Ryder Cup giveaways on the Golfbreaks.com website and our Facebook and Twitter posts over that momentous weekend led to an increase of ‘37% of all clicks from searches for golfing holidays in the week of the Ryder Cup’.
This is a combined effort of the Marketing department pushing the promotions and keeping our social networks up to date and the Sales team dealing so well with the big increase in enquiries received over that weekend. All the effort and preparation has paid off, so well done everyone!
