The course is set against the scenic splendour of the Ox Mountains and majestic Nephin Range with panoramic views of rolling countryside, wooded acres and gorse clad hills, making it one of the most scenic parkland courses in the west of Ireland. Jack Charlton, former manager of the Irish Soccer Team, is an Honorary Life Member of Ballina Golf Club. He plays his golf at Ballina when he is not fishing the Moy, the world famous salmon river.
