    Things to see and do

The popular city of Lisbon is only 25km away, and is full of gret things to see and do. The walking tours are a fun experience, allowing you to take in all the culture and history for yourself. If you are not so keen on walking, the vintage Tram 28 is perfect for seeing the sightis, including a visit to St George's Castle, Castelo de Sao Jorge. The views are breathtaking, and you can see the whole of Lisbon.

The Santa Justa Elevator is located in a gothic tower; although it is 45m high, it is a useful form of transportation between the Baixa and Bairro districts and is a famous landmark worth seeing. If this is a family golf holiday, Oceanario de Lisboa is a fantastic aquarium full of fascinating sealife. The facilties are superb and is a fun way of staying out of the heat for a few hours.

The golf resort is near the second largest shopping centre in Portugal, with plenty of designer shops and little boutiques to take your pick. The bars and restaurants are lively and freindly; the local food is exceptional. You can not only enjoy the surrounding golf but the shopping, culture and nightlife of this vibrant city: perfect for an action-packed golf holiday.

    Sheffield Likes stress free golf.
Yet again this year we had problems obtaining the keys for the accommodation, adding to the worry of where would we stay on the first night. If it weren't for the young man on the gate making numerous calls for us we would have been making arrangements to stay in a hotel.
    Car also a necessity.

    Leicester Golfer enjoying life.
The 'GolfResort' as such isn't too bad a large complex to drive around inside secured fencing. Theres an area of little shops with places to eat and drink but nothing too exciting. Within a two min drive down the road you run into the most wonderful stretch of beach with little beach bars to sit and relax. To be fair you could go to the resort have an apartment and go with the family just for the beach. Finish golf and go down there is also an option. However for us its always a round of golf shorts on and sit round the huge outdoor pool and bar area next to Aroeira 2 golf course, bliss till nearly 8pm each evening.
