Designed by the fantastic up and coming Cabell Robinson, Amelkis is the newest course in Marrakech. It is an american style course with many water hazards, large bunkers, exotic rough, all complemented by a splendid kasbah style clubhouse overlooking the Atlas Mountains.
Throughout the course, you have "kettaras" which are 11th century irrigation works built by Almoravides hydraulics experts.
All in all, Amelkis is a tough and subtle course, with long par 3's and tight fairways.
