Amarilla Golf and Country Club Details

Amarilla Golf and Country Club introduction

This 18-hole par 72 course designed by Donald Steel has gently undulating terrain and takes advantage of the contrasts of the island, which makes it a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast.

Amarilla Golf and Country Club information

    18 holes, 72 par, 5431 yards. Parkland / Links.

The designer, Donald Steel, was able to take advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the island to achieve a varied course between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. The most impressive part of the course reaches its peak at the 5th hole where an accurate shot across the sea is needed in order to reach the green. The gently undulating terrain and well maintained holes make for a challenging yet highly enjoyable round.

    cleland i love my golf
course is in really poor condition. greens have been tined and sanded, fairways scarified and dressed. this is to accommodate an up coming tournament. worst condition of a course I've played outside Scotland in the winter.

Arrived and did not get arranged teetime as competition was on for members. Made to wait 45 minutes, round took over 5 hours. Greens were terrible , continuously digging up course as playing. Would not recommend at this time of year. Disappointed! !

Same comments as above. Unfortunately the greens had been hollow tined which we were informed about so probably not a fair assessment.boverall we like the course.
