De Vere Wokefield Park Customer Golf Day - 10th July 2007

2007’s first golf day was held at Wokefield Park on a rare day of sunshine during this wet summer!

13 of the Golfbreaks.com team were lucky to be joined by 45 of our top clients, to battle it out on the golf course!

Following a delicious breakfast and some pre match banter, the teams were announced and some fantastic golf ensued. Despite some tuition from the Wokefield Park Professionals, balls were lost and (not quite) found in the heavy rough.

However, we were met by happy faces at the halfway house, everyone keeping their cards close to their chests in hope of winning the Golfbreaks.com prize! Time for a quick bite and a team photo and then it was off for the 2nd nine.

The afternoon saw more sunshine and some great scores come in. The atmosphere was intense as the teams met in the bar, eagerly awaiting the results of the day!

The Results:

Winning Individuals  -  David Townsend with 40 points and Jayne Cooper with 34 points.

 

Winning team – Martin Hexter, David Showell, Bryan Mathieson and Golfbreaks’ Ed des Fontaines with 87 points.

Prize giving was then followed by a delicious 3 course meal in the Chi Cha Suite. It really was a fantastic day, and such a great opportunity for us to meet some of our best clients!
