Staverton Park Customer Golf Day - 25th July 2006
On Tuesday 25th July, 40 invited guests joined some of the Golfbreaks.com Team at Staverton Park in Northamptonshire to take a well deserved day out of the office and enjoy some time on the golf course!
The Day
After a spot of tuition from the resident golf pro at Staverton Park and some energy boosting refreshments, ten teams, each consisting of a Golfbreaks.com Rep and three guests, took to the course.
The sun was beating down and the course was in fantastic condition - we could not have asked for a better day! And what a day it was....with well needed refreshments on tap at the halfway house, we saw some red faces - some as a result of the amazing conditions, others perhaps with sheer golfing frustration - but everyone appeared to be having a fantastic day.
We also enjoyed it immensely as it was a great opportunity for the
Golfbreaks.com team to meet some of our loyal customers...and what better place to do it!
After some fantastic golf, and some not quite so great (!) it was a pleasure to sit out in the sunshine watching the final groups come in.
The Results
Anticipation was building to find out who had won the competitions...here's who the congratulations went to:
- Best Individual Male: Danny Phelan (see below right)
- Best Individual Female: Margaret Chambers (see right)
- Longest Drive: Jason Cockerham
- Nearest the pin: Jason Cockerham
And the winning team was: Danny Phelan, Carolyn Brown, Stephen

To finish such a great day, we were all able to recount the day's shots and stories over a fantastic dinner! Thanks to all of you who attended, and we're already looking forward to the next key customer golf day at De Vere Oulton Hall!
